Whoopie Qat is a 10-piece house-rocking ensemble, based in Sacramento. Ca., featuring both male and female lead vocalists, highlighted by beautiful backing harmonies. The band members are experienced, professional artists whose backgrounds encompass a wide variety of musical genres, from r&b to country to blues to straight out rock & roll.
Whoopie Qat is made-up of members who come from an assortment of musical backgrounds. Members' past and present bands include '58 Fury, Big Boss Graffiti, Lovesick, Soul Motor, Love Symphony, H.A.G, Big Trouble, Lightning Hand Band, Paije, Pleasure Seekers, Ghost River, and Fountainhead.

Whoopie Qat performed before a diverse crowd at the Freeport/Clarksburg 120th Festa Dinner/Dance on Saturday, May 25, 2013. This group's eleven performers all had good musical ability. Preforming arrangements from different genres; blues and classic rock, the members of the band entertained the audience with their musical talents. Their performance was one of the highlights of the evening’s event. I am sure that every person who attended will be looking forward to having Whoopie Qat back again next year, as I do. - Monica Souza
