About Vendor
Learn more about this vendor for your event.
The American Roots Band (ARB) evolved out of the live California rock group ELIXER, which grew from the Rockslyde project of the 2000s. We play a wide variety of dance music from 1950 to today: Light Rock, Country, Blues, Waltz, Group dancing, Slow dance, high energy Classic Rock, you name it! Our leader, Gina Rider (lead vocals, harmonica, guitar, percussion) formed ARB with her late husband, the silver voiced guitarist J’on Rider. Gina carries her partner’s vision and uplifting spirit into this latest iteration of The American Roots Band. George Real (drums, vocals) grew up in a family of musicians, learning all instruments in the band, but assigned to drums by his brothers. He has a long list of music projects he’s contributed to, but he always looks forward to an ARB show. Glenn Hofmockel (guitar, vocals) has played bass for many years with San Diego variety acts, and has written, recorded, and performed his own songs on guitar. Steve Thompson (lead guitar, vocals) has graced the stages of a multitude of music venues throughout the Southwest, exploring a musically diverse range of guitar styles along the way. Kevin Dotzler (bass, vocals) enjoys playing with ARB in addition to several other musical projects he performs with and manages, including The Formula, Triozz and more.
