Dixie Flats Dixieland Band from Las Vegas, NV

Dixie Flats” is a Las Vegas based band, playing New Orleans-style Trad Jazz, Dixieland, Second Line, Depression Era Blues, and other music inspired by the culture and traditions of New Orleans, Louisiana. Named for a topographical feature in Elko, Nevada, “Dixie Flats” aims to respectfully interpret the music they love, with a nod to the countless artists that have helped define this idiom. This group is comprised of some of the heaviest hitters in the Las Vegas music scene, and together, their collective musicality is stunning. The band is available in many configurations, and can be appropriate for any imaginable event. We do full Second Line Parades with as many as 20 performers, and intimate cocktail events, featuring our stunning singer Lady K, who embodies the voice of this style. We can work with as few as three musicians, and as many as...well...there's really no limit. A note about Second Line: This is a classic Parade "Brass Band" version of the group... a hipper option for people looking for a marching band, and can be used to move guests from one location to another. It can also be used to make a big splash at the beginning of events, or grand entrances. It is also very commonly used for Weddings and Funerals. This is an important part of the New Orleans tradition, and will help to define your event. We even offer this as a fully LED lit band, with LED instruments and LED costumes, if you're looking to make a big splash! This music is spirited and playful, yet percolating with generations of emotion and hard living. Joy, tragedy, pain and salvation come together here in a musical Gumbo, both spicy and sweet, both raw and refined. This is more than music. It’s a musical, cultural, and a sensory experience.
