A brief history to begin...Dj Skyhigh started as a producer and engineer at a defunct studio called Kali-Bear Records. Then started his own and a record label, SKy High Audio. With over 30 artists on the roster. Tours everywhere. Nightly shows. A continuous recording schedule. Acts opening for the likes of P Diddy among others. 9-11 happened in 2001 and the industry collapsed. The phone didn't ring for 6 months and we were out of business. So DJ Skyhigh became the solo DJ and progressed on. First gaining residence at a small Winchester club named Coalie Harry's. Here he toned his skills with an open mic night, a trivia night and weekend dj shows. Then became a house DJ for a new nightclub hosting national acts, Sweet Carolines. From there he was recruited to handle one of the largest Gentlemen's clubs on the East Coast. Vixins/Underground. Within 3 years DJ Skyhigh was offered many jobs from ATL to Las Vegas. Deciding on a different approach. Skyhigh started a new DJ business. Years of building a following and clients has put DJ Skyhigh on the top of the list in his hometown area.
He currently performs over 250 shows a year. Including most of the area festivals. He currently resides 3 days a week at The Blue Fox in Winchester. There he conducts a Sunday & Monday Karaoke which has become the most renown in the area. For the last two years Tuesdays have been the coolest dance night in the area with in-house dance instruction, line dance hours and full out all request dance night. He also runs a half hour radio show for the Blue Fox that covers the National and Regional Acts that play there. it broadcasts on 105.5 The Bone. DJ Skyhigh hosted 82 wedding before becoming the resident DJ at the exclusive wedding venue Jordan Springs. In the years there he performed and hosted over 250 weddings. Currently DJ Skyhigh's wedding schedule is about 25 a year with spring and fall always booked up.
DJ Skyhigh is available for any form of event. Although, I have not done a Bar Mitzvah yet. I have done every gig imaginable that would have a DJ. My costs are the least expensive in the business because most of my clients deserve a break and do not need to be over charged for a simple DJ. I have an unlimited playlist, lights are always included in the budget. Unless you want the big stuff. I usually offer unlimited time. It's a pain to ask your dj if he can stay an extra hour and have an issue arise on extra money. This can also create an attitude with many of my colleagues. I dress to impress. Have a very unique digital setup and require only a 3 foot by 3 foot space. Check out the site for more info.
