Positives: Efficient booking, friendly DJ.
Negatives: We had to supply add'l generator ($$), plus paid extra $$ for Emcee but instead DJ handed very expensive mic over to kids so that they could karaoke (this was not part of the arrangement), mic was dropped and broke which I had to replace (more $$), bought prize incentives for DJ but instead he quietly and randomly handed them out which created a problem because there was not enough prizes for everyone (it was only meant for "most enthusiastic dancer" etc). There was no Emceeing happening, so guest where unaware. We could have brought our own karaoke machine from home and provided the same service for free.

Our DJ Freddo was great! We really didn't know how involved people would get with dancing or singing but he did an amazing job getting people involved. Would highly recommend this company again and Gig Masters made the entire process really easy! Thanks for making our day even more fun!

DJ Jeff was nice and professional, he helped me plan out the schedule for my wedding reception so that it would go as smooth as possible. He did an amazing job everyone at me wedding had fun!! Thanks Jeff!!!

Brianna opted not to add Emcee services. An Emcee would have coordinated all the various timing of events and prevented any choppy transitions.

We had a great experience with our DJ, Jeff. He contacted me before the event as to what we expected for our party. He did everything he said he would. Everyone danced their butts off that night. I think Jeff may have had as much fun as we all did. I would thoroughly recommend this company.

Unfortunately, my experience was horrible to say the least! I spoke with the DJ before the event & I explained the genre I was looking for and I was told he had me covered. The DJ didnt have any songs in his playlist that my party was looking for. The DJ was actually downloading songs from Youtube to play when I had requests. I'm sorry but I could have done that myself because I have the same type of phone, or I would have been better off plugging in Pandora. The DJ does not know his artists, he told me R.Kelly was singing on a song, when it really wasn't him. Also, he played Cha-Cha slide 3 times, the 3rd time he played it directly after the 2nd time it was played!

We have a zero tolerance policy for this type of performance so we have removed Scott Cecil (the DJ who worked this event) from our network.

Our DJ, Jeff, set up a day prior to the event. He was there prior to the starting time. His appearance and the way he listened to the guests was great. He accomodated requests and the playlist we suggested. Prior to the event he contacted me to go over set up, timing, and any questions I might have. This was a very professional way of hiring someone to come into my home and entertain my 150 guests.

MY DAUGHTER'S SWEET 16 HALLOWEEN PARTY TURN OUT FANTANSTIC! SHE REALLY ENJOY THE DJ, AND ALL OF THE GUEST ALSO ENJOY THEMSELVES TOO. EVERYBODY LIKE THE MUSIC RICK WALKER PLAYED THAT NIGHT. I WOULD REFER HIM TO EVERYBODY THAT NEED A DJ. HE WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL, ON TIME, AND PLAYED GOOD MUSIC, HE ALSO PLAYED THE REQUESTS MY DAUGHTER ASKED FOR TOO. RICK WALKER WAS VERY VERY ENTERTAINING! I am thrilled with our decision to have Great Rate DJ's do our Wedding! Our DJ was Paul Espinoza and he was very professional and did an amazing job! He handled all of our special requests and had a really beautiful lighting set up. I am more than happy to recommend Great Rate DJ's for any event!

Randy was wonderful! Our event had a slight twist due to it being a 40th birthday/surprise we go married wedding reception. I was so worried about our location and the weather being to hot to dance, but Randy kept everyone on the dance floor moving and shakin. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend him to anyone.

DJ was on time and dressed appropriately.
DID NOT LISTEN TO GUESTS REQUESTS!
He did not play appropriate music for our event,played a lot of crap we did not like or enjoy.We should have songs from 76-80 era and some other newer music, didn't even recognize half the stuff he played.
Also the music was too loud and when asked to turn it down several times he NEVER DID. I had several guests approach me to say they made requests that he just ignored them. Needly to say we were very disappointed,we also felt pressured to feed him dinner which costed our group an additional 42.00. It would be ok if we new this ahead when planning our budget and cost to each guest.

"That’s funny, I have pictures that they were dancing and I did play all requests. I spoke with them many times before the gig for a playlist. I had requests for the mix of the night. Half of the guests wanted to talk, the other wanted to dance. Some wanted new wave, others rock and some wanted new Hip-Hop so I played it all. I know how to rock the 80s, it sucks to know that I had them dancing and I still got a bad review."

DJ's Jeff and Dave were awesome. Great Rate DJs works with several different DJs, so I cannot speak on behalf of all of them. DJ Jeff worked closely with my fiancé and I to figure out what we wanted. All my guests who had to wait in the heat before the ceremony were entertained and then the reception was the party of the century. Thank you Great Rate for making this affordable for me.

Rick Walker was the DJ assigned to our party. I found him to be very professional and accomodating and he definitely knows his music and what it takes to achieve a great party! It was for my daughter's 18th birthday and we had about 60 people with 40 of them being teenagers, whom everybody knows are usually hard to please when it comes to music, but he had them up and dancing the entire evening and they had an absolutely blast!!!!! My daughter was emtremely pleased and her frends are still buzzing about it 3 days later. Thanks to Rick, all of my hard work and plans paid off! I would definitely hire him for future parties.
