The DJ didn’t interact with the guests at all, her music library wasn’t very extensive. When popular songs were requested, they weren’t readily available.

BAD! My DJ called once before my wedding & never answered when I called back, could only contact via email. Good energy (emcee); played songs I requested for first dance, garter, etc. I utilized the website song selector but it wouldn't let me upload. I emailed the list to him so he would know what I was looking for yet he only played about 5 songs from it! There were multiple silent moments w/no music. His microphones didn't work for toasting so we had to yell across the room! He told me I owed a higher balance than was true. He said that my check bounced and tried to charge extra fees (my bank said he never even tried to cash it!) This is NOT what I was expecting!

We are confused about her feedback as she tipped the Ray Pinnock (her DJ) upon the completion of her event. A return check fee was only added when the DJ informed us that he had issues cashing her check. However we waived that fee when she called and said she would issue a new check. She never mentioned having problems with her DJ or when utilizing our site during any of our conversations so her feedback is surprising. Ray has done multiple event for us and his feedback has always been great. This is the first time he has received negative feedback.

Great Rate DJ's are a very accomodating and responsive DJ "broker." As a broker, however, they are really not that in touch with the quality and suitability of their DJs for your particular function. I would prefer to be able to select my DJ after speaking to him. My DJ was adequate but not what I had requested. For future events I would rather hire a DJ directly from the source and not go thru a broker that simply selects from a massive list of "available" DJs. But, in light of their very economical pricing -- you get what you pay for.

From the first experiences of just booking the dj and talking to the house staff, all the way through to the day of our party (80th birthday celebration for Mom) Great Rates was wonderful to work with.
