My name is Kevin Summers, owner and DJ at Smilestones DJ Services, LLC. I love helping to deliver your perfect wedding, party, or event experience through music and emcee services! Through DJ'ing, I want to make sure that there are lots of smiles and dancing at your milestone event - hence the name, Smilestones. I primarily serve the greater Cincinnati area. IT'S ALL ABOUT YOU! Your DJ should help you deliver the vision you want for your event. I work with you to understand what your ideas and preferences are, and then deliver them. Whether you want to have a conservative event, an off-the-wall theme, or want to really bring the party, I will accommodate! I will also be an advocate for you and work with the venue and other vendors to make sure everything goes smoothly. PLANNING FOR SUCCESS! I know that great events happen when you plan for great events. I will consult with you in person, over the phone, or via text/email to work out all details and preferences. If needed, we can talk multiple times to ensure we have everything nailed down. We'll build your playlist, event time line, and anything else we need. I am very flexible with clients on planning, for example, if you think of a song in the middle of the night that would be perfect for your event, text it over and I'll add it to your playlist. PROFESSIONALISM. I want a client to feel that they are working with a professional when I am their DJ. I want you to feel great about the choice you made, and I want your guests to be impressed with my level of service. This means that I communicate so that you are always informed. My presence on the mic for announcements is positive and engaging. I pay attention to the small details. I will dress nicely and according to my client's preference -- I want to look professional but not stand out. I show up on time (or early) to everything. And when issues arise before or during the event, I work quickly and smoothly, with other vendors if needed, to move past the problem. MUSIC AND GEAR. My library of songs is vast and diverse, spanning the decades. I am always adding the latest hits in various genres to stay fresh. Unless otherwise requested, I always play clean (non explicit) versions of songs. If clients tell me a song to include that I don't already have, I will buy it! My audio equipment is commercial grade, powerful, elegant looking and compact for a small footprint at your venue. I have backup plans for everything to avoid any mid-event failures or service outages. PRICING. I want to offer my clients great DJ services for a great price, with a simple price structure -- I typically charge by the hour. I can provide you a custom quote based on your event. My pricing is simple because it includes everything you need: consultations and planning, travel within my service area, equipment setup and breakdown, and dance lights. I may require a down payment to hold your date. I take cash, check, PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, and credit card.
