Since 2013, 'The Players Club' was Northeast Ohio's premiere dance / party band! As a band leader and point of contact, my responsibility was to coordinate with the event planner (bride, wedding planner, venue owner, etc...) and meticulously construct 'day of events' itineraries. These could be as involved as the '7 stages of a wedding' start to finish, or as simple as providing sound and lighting and carrying out the responsibilities of an MC. In either scenario, my detail oriented approach always resulted in great client satisfaction. Fast forward to 2025. My band (The Players Club) had our last performance in October of 2024 and I have decided to lend my event knowledge, MC and DJ skills from the past 12+ years, ability to organize and facilitate, and my over 10K in sound and lighting production and bring the energy and production of a 'live band' to the more streamlined 'DJ world'. Over the past 12 years, prospective clients would often share with me their dilemma between the safe route of hiring me to DJ/MC their wedding or the more involved logistics and potentially greater 'wow factor' of hiring my band and having me simply handle all of the MC services that the event required. I always thought, ...well, why not meld the 2 worlds into the perfect amalgamation of Top-shelf audio and visual production with the simplicity of a DJ/MC. ...And thus was born 'The Players Club DJ/MC services'. All the energy and production of a live band streamlined to one guy...me. So why hire me? good question. Here's what I can lend to your event: Lets create a comprehensive wedding scenario: Upon initial contact, we would discuss your event and expectations which would go something like this: ....I would arrive and set up at least one hour prior to your first guest arrival. If I am providing music for your ceremony as well, I would have that 2nd location set up as well with 'welcoming' back ground music playing as your guests arrive. Simultaneously, I would be coordinating with whomever (pastor, officient, etc) is overseeing your nuptials as well as the wedding planner to make ensure that we are all on the same page with the complexities that go into a wedding service. As soon as the vows are exchanged and the ceremony has ended, you'll walk back down the aisle to a triumphant song of your choice as I move back to our primary location for Cocktail Hour! During this time, you'll most likely be taking pictures as I entertain your guests with some simple mid-volume background music as they converse with drinks and finger foods. After about an hour, you'll return with your wedding party and I'll line you up for the grand entrance....Yes, my booming voice along with your predetermined choice of music will bring you back to the party as the "brand new, hot off the presses Mr. and Mrs. --------!". This is often followed by speeches, toasts, greetings, prayers, etc... I will provide all wireless microphones to accommodate. This leads us to the dinner portion of the evening. I will dial in some low-volume relaxing dinner music, which is at 'well below speaking volume'. We don't want your guests having to scream to be heard...but we want to remove awkward silence....I know how to make that happen. In the past, I have even been asked to dismiss the tables. ...well, I'm here and I have the microphone, so why not!? ...First dances and cake cutting festivities occur as soon as dinner is wrapping up. I will provide all the music (as we will have discussed months prior) and lighting ambience to create the perfect backdrop. As soon as the last dance is finished, I push the faders, turn on the lasers, crank the hazers (if were allowed by the venue), drop the houses lights and for the next 2.5 to 3 hours we get lost in a world of sound and lights. I bring the EXACT same production that I used with my band to all events, so yes what you see in the pictures is what I will provide....up to 15000 watts and seizure inducing strobes...this is where the party starts and I will keep the floor hopping until the venue throws us out....or the shuttle is here to take guests back to the hotel....either one. But the 'throwing us out' makes us sound cooler, so lets go with that scenario! If my corporate pitch sounds compelling, drop me a line. I am not a traditional DJ...but rather I handle and coordinate all of the entertainment aspects of your event with precision and top-shelf production. 12+ years in, I have never left a client disappointed and enjoy the feeling of exceeding all expectations. ...Oh yeah, and I also need to pay a mortgage, so there is that as well.....Let's talk!
