Bill Cobb Bio --- Bill Cobb was born in St. Louis, Missouri. He grew up with music as a large and influential part of his life. The time he spent listening to music, mostly classic country and of course, Elvis, with his grandfather would start a lifetime of love and admiration for Elvis Presley and his music. As a teenager, he would spend countless hours listening to Elvis, trying to sing like Elvis, trying to move like Elvis, and trying to capture the charisma that is Elvis. He would never be without Elvis and his prized possession a Burnin' Love 8-track would always be with him. He joined the army and as fate would have it, he spent two years stationed in Friedberg, Germany at Ray Barracks. Elvis was in Germany, at Ray Barracks, from October 1, 1958, until March 2, 1960, as a member of the 1st Medium Tank Battalion, 32d Armor. For the first five days of that period, he belonged to Company D of the battalion, and thereafter to the battalion's Headquarters Company at Friedberghow will include lots of audience interaction.. Bill served in the1/36 th Infantry Unit Headquarters Company at Friedberg. He had always been told that he had an Elvis vibe about him but it was not until a friend asked him if he would perform at a benefit for his brother, who had been diagnosed with cancer, that he believed he would be able to do an Elvis Tribute Show. As he practiced for the show and after the wonderful response, he received for his performance at the benefit he began to realize an Elvis tribute was something he could do and loved to do.
