Lamar Peters " The Tribute Artist" Elvis Impersonator from East Meadow, NY

Lamar Peters is New York's top Elvis tribute artist. He was the first Elvis tribute artist to perform at B.B. King Blues Club in Times Square in New York City on Aug 17, 2013. Lamar has toured with the Heart of the King Ambassadors Show Production and has placed top 3 in the Ultimate Elvis Presley tribute contest sponsored by Elvis Presley Enterprises. The fast paced Ultimate Elvis Tribute Show, takes you back to the best of 1950's Elvis rockabilly and through the 60s, and 70s of Elvis Presley's career. Lamar is a second generation tribute artist who, like his father Gregg Peters, is very well versed in different aspects of music. After 8 years of performing, Lamar came up with a brand new show concept called "The Gentleman's Show". The Gentleman's Show gives you a different look at other artists including Michael Bublé, Sam Cooke, Johnny Cash, Buddy Holly, Frank Sinatra, Tom Jones, and many more within the 2 hour review. Lamar's show also includes his own original songs. Growing up in a family of musical influence, it was certain that Lamar would be running against the grain to show the world his talent. As one of Lamar's fans said to him, "You should be on Broadway." Lamar replied, "I'm always on Broadway no matter where I perform!" The venues that Lamar plays at range from the smallest stage to the biggest theaters. The smallest being a local catering hall and the largest being colleges and theaters of up to 2200 seats. Lamar's father, Gregg Peters, has been a tribute performer for over 37 years in the tri state area known as "The Tribute King". Also, special mention to his brother, J.J. Burton, who accompanies him on lead guitar and background vocals. He brings a classy touch with his electrical style that is taken from Elvis concert guitarist, James Burton. He also plays in Lamar's rock and roll review band. "Being a tribute performer is very exciting," Lamar says. "It's like playing a different role every 2 to 3 minutes.
