Background: Charles Belongé aka Dj Bambam Belongé is “The Bently of Dj’s” and he definitely rocks the party! For 30+ years the former 14 year (1992 - 2006) radio personality at WYLD-98.5 FM and nightclub dj has performed at many of the most prominent events and venues in New Orleans and the region, including National conventions, sponsored public events & corporate galas, destination weddings, and a host of other celebrity and socialite events. For 12 consecutive years (2008 - 2019) Belongé was resident Dj at ESSENCE Festival, engaging and energizing Essence Festival Empowerment audiences before such entertainment and media notables as Alicia Keys, Steve Harvey, Mary J. Blige, Tyler Perry, and Oprah Winfrey on her only appearance at ESSENCE Festival in 2016.
