Oscar truly made our event, the music was so important to our theme and we were so lucky to find him...guests actually wrote letters after the event with rave reviews about not just the music but Oscar and what a wonderful addition he was to the evening and it's success which NEVER HAPPENS with a fundraiser. Oscar returns calls, works with you on song lists with no attitude, plays what you ask for, listens so well, makes great suggestions, he reads a crowd and really knows how to engage the party with music choices and when to play what...so hard to do. Music is a critical part of any event and Oscar with GEC was perfection...and i am so so grateful to him.

We had a wonderful experience dealing with Oscar Urrutia before our wedding reception in discussing all the details of what we wanted. Oscar was always very professional and receptive.
On the day of the event, Oscar arrived early to set up equipment and stayed and helped with some announcements and music, even though he was officially starting his work at a later hour. He was extremely accommodating and courteous to us and the venue coordinator.
Our guests complimented us on our selection of the music that was played at our reception and we have to admit that Oscar was the one responsible for that. We highly recommend him to anyone looking for quality.

Oscar was very nice and super professional, but his music selection wasn't the best. I gave him a play list and songs I wanted to hear. If he stuck to the list all would have been fine, but he started to play really terrible songs in between like Leanord Skinard and Shania Twain. Not appropriate for a Michael Jackson themed party. On the upside the lights he brought were a big hit.

What makes me unique is that I provide guests with a special number to text me. Throughout the evening guests had text me a few songs that they wanted to hear for different reasons. Being able to ensure a clients guests hear a song or two they selected makes them feel special. So I did play a couple songs outside the Michael Jackson theme but at the same time the client never asked to change it up. The client did send me a list of songs that I did play which were also outside the theme of MJ theme as well. At the end of the day the client is always right and will ensure next time I stick to the theme to ensure this low review does not happen again. Great Party!

Our wedding was last night and we were disappointed. We hired GEC to provide ceremony music and Karoke for the reception. We made special requests for specific songs in advance and got written confirmation from the DJ that those songs were available. HE DID NOT HAVE OUR SONGS. I (Bride) had rehearsed my request to sing to my new husband and the DJ asked if I wanted to sing something else because he didn't have my song. We gave a very long playlist for songs to play between performers and the DJ didn't stick to our list. The mic cord was too short. The DJ's assistant was wearing a tee shirt. The sound quality was poor. It was sad.

The client did request a certain karaoke song to be played during her wedding. We did not have the song ready immediately when the bride requested it which caused this low review. The bride did end up singing the song to her husband a few minutes later.In regards to the sound being bad the wedding reception was held in an old building with wooden walls which caused the sound not to travel well. In regards to my assistant wearing a T-Shirt, it was a company shirt as her job was to be behind the scenes and not the center of attention. One thing to note is that her guests kept asking us to keep up the good music going which included the clients playlist.

DJ Oscar was really professional and awesome! Everyone had fun on the dance floor. He even went out of his way and helped my husband to set up his piano so he was able to play a song for me at the wedding. Thank you for a great night!

Oscar was absolutely fabulous for my 40th Birthday Party. We had about 90 people for what I was planning on being a low key outdoor party. Oscar had everyone dancing within a couple of hours and kept everyone dancing until the party ended. Everyone really liked the text request feature as well. I highly recommend Oscar and GEC Street team. I will definitely use his services again!

Oscar was amazing! He brought his own spice to our wedding reception, playing games to get the dance floor started.
He played all the music I requested and more and everyone had a blast!! I really feel he made it a night to remember and I hope to have another big event in the future just so I can hire him again.
Very fair on pricing, easy to work with, professional and quick to respond.

Oscar was so great to work with as I planned my wedding. He responded to emails promptly and was very accommodating with my requests. On the day of, he showed up early to get things set up and kept things flowing smoothly throughout the night. We had one little technical difficulty with displaying a little video with music, but he handled it very professionally. Finally, he played music that got a good number of our guests dancing the rest of the night.

We couldn't be happier with GEC Events. They are very professional and talented at what they do. We chose them for our November 9 wedding. Oscar made me and my wife feel very comfortable throughout the entire process. He made several trips to our venue to answer our hundreds of questions without hesitation. He provided DJ Alex NRG for our music taste (Latin) and blew us away. All of our guests raved about the music and ambiance GEC Events provided. Their pricing packages are very affordable and their equipment is great. You will not be disappointed with them. I highly recommend them and will look forward to hiring them for our next event.

Not only did the DJ's do a Great but they also controlled the lights and engineered the sound for the LIVE ENTERTAINMENT! That's right, we had Universal's Dylan Jenet and IM5 (that's 5 Wireless Mics and Full Stage Monitor's), Disney's Kenton Duty and a few other artists and the sound was AWESOME! No FEEDBACK Issues etc. Very Professional and now a part of OUR FAMILY! We will most definitely utilize their professional staff again. THANKS ALL for a JOB WELL DONE! No need to "WORRY" about these guys, they are the GREATEST!

My wife and I where beyond happy with the services that we go from Oscar, He was very professional and very attentive to what we and our guest wanted. For example my sister in law had made a a slide show but was having trouble with the music not playing. Oscar asked for the name of the songs she had used and played them for her. We thought that was very awesome. Oscar also had a dance off for the kids and gave them gifts and that was one of the coolest things my wife and I have ever seen!! Silvia and I just really want to thank Oscar for making our wedding the best thing ever we cant thank him enough!!!
