Hailing from the southern New Jersey Shore, she's been mesmerizing audiences since 2009 as a solo artist, with internationally acclaimed Soraya's Mid-East Dance and Music Productions, the Burning Hearts Fire and Light Theater, the Daughters of Terpsichore troupe, and more. She has performed at events ranging from the traditional to the offbeat -- from the beaches and casinos of Atlantic City to the desert sands of Burning Man, from upscale Persian weddings and exotic Arabian nights, to avant-garde art galleries and fairy fests, to the glittering lights of Las Vegas. Lorenda fire dances with palm torches, fire fingers, fire fans, a fire belt, candle tray, fire-eating wands, fire bubbles, lycopodium wands, a fire cane, fire swords, and colored flames. She carries fire performer's liability insurance, follows fire safety protocol conforming to the National Fire Protection Association, is certified in fire safety by the Flow Arts Institute, and is well-versed in dealing with fire departments and applying for flame effects permits.
