The Martin Metzger Flamenco Ensemble consists of some of the most experienced, talented and dedicated flamenco musicians in Chicago. All the of the members have studied the art in depth, traveling to Spain regularly, in order to capture the art's energy, nuances and spirit. The ensemble consists of Marisela Tapia (dance), Patricia Ortega (voice), Diego Alonso (guitar), Martin Metzger (guitar), and Javier Saume (cajon). The respect for flamenco and desire to preserve it's authenticity, is at the core of the ensemble's vibrant and moving performances. The ensemble currently performs throughout the Chicagoland area, inspiring audiences of all kinds. You have the option to hire one or two guitarists, our singer, our dancer and/or our percussionist. All members are well experienced, professional and amazing performers. We bring our own sound system and arrive 30-45 minutes prior to each event. We play a mixture of Spanish/Flamenco/Flamenco Jazz/Latin Jazz and Rumbas.
