Sergiu Popa Ensemble World Music Band from Montreal, QC

Sergiu Popa (accordionist & pianist) and Jessica Gal (violinist) are a married couple who play music together and can provide live entertainment for your special occasion. Both classically trained, they have a large repertoire to please every taste – whether it's semi-classical music, jazz, lounge, latin, Middle-Eastern, Celtic, Gypsy, Klezmer or East European folk! They are available as an instrumental duet, providing background music or strolling between tables to serenade guests during their meal, as a trio (with percussionist) if the occasion is a more lively one where you want everyone up and dancing, or as a quartet for a concert-type format. Jessica and Sergiu have a number of musicians and dancers who can join them onstage as requested and according to budget (ie. vocalist - various languages, clarinetist & trumpetist (specialized in Klezmer) or oud and darbouka for Middle Eastern styles). All are talented and experienced professionals. They have performed at weddings, parties, bar/bat mitzvahs, concerts and festivals, and have won 2 prestigious awards over the past 3 years (Radio-Canada's Étoiles Galaxie Prize and the Circuit 514 Award). They come equipped with their own professional sound system, sufficient for a crowd of up to 500 people, own a reliable vehicle and pride themselves on their punctuality, adaptability, attentiveness to their audience's preferences and the quality of their performance.
