Stephen Schneider Magician from Louisville, KY

Stephen Schneider is a magician, fortune teller, and juggler currently working in Louisville, Kentucky. Originally from Australia, Stephen has performed with Turners' Circus as a juggler in a variety of settings. More recently, he has turned to magic as a way to combine his interests in circus and midway entertainment with his experience as a tarot card reader and fortune teller. Stephen's performances typically focus on one of two areas. The first of these areas is the magic, games of chance, and fortune telling found in midways of circuses and travelling shows--audiences are taken through light-hearted stunts such as juggling and card manipulations, to games of chances such as three-card monte, to the mysteries of the fortune teller's tent. These shows combine stories taken from the history of these travelling shows with interactive magic and wonder. The second focus of Stephen's performances combine mental magic with card reading and fortune telling. Audiences explore card magic centered on predictions and displays of mind reading, historical and fantastical psychic experiments, and fortune telling using a variety of oracles--tarot cards, palms, playing cards, and dominoes. For audiences interested in fortune telling, Stephen is also able to introduce the history of various fortune telling practices and ways that audience members might explore their own fortune telling abilities. While some of this history may involve discussions of psychics and spiritualists, it is offered here for entertainment only--Stephen doesn't offer medium-based entertainment. Stephen's magic and entertainment will work well for most audience sizes and age groups, whether it be half a dozen people looking for fortune telling or larger groups wanting a walk-around variety act. Stephen is also able to teach learn-to-juggle workshops geared for family or corporate audiences.
