David Lester and the Funk Junkies is a NYC-based cover band specializing in funk, motown, soul, r&b, and go-go from the 70s and beyond. We are available for bar enteratinment, corporate events, bar mitzvahs, weddings, private parties, and more. Complete with a high-class horn section, some groups we sample from include Stevie Wonder, Jackson 5, The Meters, Ohio Players, Bill Withers, Parliament/Funkadelic, Maceo Parker, James Brown, Chaka Kahn, Sly & the Family Stone, and Marvin Gaye. We play our own unique, tight arrangements, with a mixture of smooth vocals and instrumental jams.
