The Musical Journey: Born in Flint, Michigan, and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Curry’s passion for the low-end began early. His professional trajectory shifted forever after a P-Funk show in Cleveland, where his cousin's performance of the iconic "Maggot Brain" caught the eye of George Clinton himself. By 1979, he officially joined the P-Funk fold, initially as a vocalist before stepping into the bass mantle under the mentorship of legends Billy "Bass" Nelson and Cordell "Boogie" Mosson.
