Whether you are looking for a solo act, duo, trio or full band Gary PhilipS will make your event a good time. With the ability to add Steel Drum, Percussion, Guitars or Keyboards all needs can be fit. In addition to the guitar, Gary also plays the ukelele and has recently taken up the steel pan. Gary plays a style known as Trop Rock, a combination of Rock, Southern Rock, and Country music all with a Tropical feel, he covers numerous artists from the 50's through the present, with a summery sound. He covers over 1000 songs by over 300 different artists and in August of 2008 he released his first cd. Since then he has released 2 more cd's. He has played up and down the Jersey Shore, as far west as Harrisburg Pa, and to the south Key West, Florida. Gary is a Regional Musician for the Trop Rock Music Association., an organization promoting Trop Rock as a mainstream genre of music. In 2012 Gary was Nominated for Male Vocalist of the Year and the song he co wrote with Phil Corso was nominated for song of the year by the NJ Acoustic Awards. Gary is also a member of Musicians on a Mission, Coastal Jersey Parrothead Club and performs with Holiday Express, all charitable organizations. Listen to his music, you will not be dissapointed.
