No two brides are alike-- and their wedding music shouldn't be, either! After playing my first wedding when I was 12 years old, I was hooked and (somewhat naively) decided that was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life! In 2016 I earned a Doctorate of Music in Harp Performance from Florida State University.  Since then, I have been teaching and performing in Nashville and was recently named Principle Harpist of the Nashville Philharmonic. My goal is to make each ceremony moment musical reflection of the couple's past, present, and future lives together.  Every wedding is customized and includes a complimentary consultation at my home in Belle Meade.  Ensembles of various kinds are also available, including vocal and harp duets of "Ave Maria" and "The Lord's Prayer," violin/harp duets ("Meditation from Thais") and saxophone/harp duets that are perfect for cocktail hour!  

Every event includes special requests, musical arrangements, travel to and from the location, set up, and amplification when necessary.

Now a veteran of international touring, I owe much of my concert experience to my membership in HarpFusion, the largest touring professional harp ensemble in the world. While playing with this University of Arizona group, I appeared in over seventy-five concerts, including performances in Belgium, Holland, Germany, Switzerland, Lichtenstein, and Mexico, and Brazil. 
 
My Bachelor's of Music is from the University of Arizona, where I studied with Distinguished Professor Dr. Carrol McLaughlin, one of the instrument's most famous jazz/classical artists. While in Arizona, I was thrilled to be named Resident Harpist of Loews Ventena Canyon Resort. The University of Illinois is also among my alma maters, where I earned the Master's of Music degree as a student of Dr. Ann Yeung, (past president of the American Harp Society) and was honored with the prestigious Roslyn Rensch Harp Award.  

As a promoter of musical appreciation and education, I have presented yearly school outreach presentations since May 2007, and look forward to continuing this tradition in Nashville. I can be seen/heard on Harp Fusion's Cosmos Concert, Live! CD/DVD., "Here in America," the sophomore album of the jazz ensemble Sylvan Street, and Ernst von Dochnanyi's "Symphony No. 2" on the Naxos recording label. 


Agnes was absolutely wonderful!  She played beautifully and was very easy going.  It made my party a huge success and was a dream to watch her perform.  I highly recommend her!!!!

Harp

I hired Agnes to play for a private and intimate birthday party for my wife.  I have nothing but great things to say and we will use her again.  She was responsive, on-time, warm, presentable, professional and most of all she did a beautiful job of playing the the perfect songs on the harp!! For our event we had a private chef team prepare and serve the meals and Agnes played during the reception and dinner.  I'm happy to say that her entertainment provided the perfect ambience to a fantastic meal.  And it was such a beautiful instrument that it also became a popular backdrop for pictures.  I have a new appreciation for the harp as a result.  Very, very happy!
