Emily M. Waggoner Harpist from Greenville, SC

Experience counts. Particularly when planning your special event, you want the best when it comes to setting the tone with beautiful music. Emily Waggoner has delighted audiences with elegant harp music in the South Carolina Upstate for over 20 years. She is the Principal Harpist with the Spartanburg Philharmonic Orchestra and performs regularly with the Greenville Symphony Orchestra, Asheville Symphony Orchestra, and others. She also freelances for events like weddings, church services, parties, business functions and recording studios. Recent projects include a solo performance for Prince Edward, Earl of Sussex, directing a tour of 12 harpists, and several solo concerts. Emily earned a BA in music in 2001 and a MM in harp performance in 2006. In addition to her performing and recording duo, Duetta (harp and cello), Emily frequently plays with other musicians for events requesting chamber music. She writes and arranges music for many events and can accommodate your special requests. In addition to performance, Emily teaches over 40 students in the Upstate and is currently Director of Harp Studies at Bob Jones University. She has also served as adjunct professor at Clemson University and The Governor's School for the Fine Arts. Emily is a member of The Crescent Music Club, The American Harp Society, Upstate Wedding Malls, and The Historical Harp Society.
