Maia was recently recognized again by The Bash with the "Best of 2023" Award!! She has consistently been recognized for her playing and customer service by The Bash/Gigmaster's and clients alike. Since 1991, Maia has been performing in and around the DFW Metroplex. As a freelance musician Maia has played with most of the orchestra and chamber groups in the Metroplex as well as nightly at the Fairmont Hotel in Dallas in the Pyramid Room and High Tea at the Worthington Hotel in Fort Worth. Engagements include but are not limited to parties, weddings, receptions, funerals, dinners, social galas, recitals and corporate events. Maia has studied with notable classical harpists Bea Rose, Lucille Lawrence, Mimi Allen and Gayle Barrington. She received her Bachelors and Masters Degree in Applied Harp from The University of Texas at Austin.
