As "Christopher Bemis and the Salamander Band," singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Christopher Bemis brings his original music to the stage with friends and family. Their music blends the essence of American folk with elements of classical, jazz, rock, punk, and humor. Chris has been writing, arranging, recording, and performing music with a DIY spirit for the last 25 years. In his teens and early 20s in central Pennsylvania, Chris was an active member and leader in a variety of indie bands, school ensembles, and local music communities. As a performer, he's done anything from singing in a choir at Carnegie Hall to playing jazz standards on banjo with kazoo accompaniment in a college basement. Now settled in Yardley, PA, Christopher Bemis and the Salamander Band are looking forward to building connections with music lovers and sharing the joy of songcraft from the community stage and home studio.
