On a scale of 5, Slopside gets a 10 all around. They were phenomenal. So much more than we could have dreamed of. Every guest at our wedding commented on how fantastic the music was. We were looking for just the right group to get everyone dancing and having fun, but we did not want the typical cheesy wedding band. Their musicianship and voices are fantastic! The music of the Colorado based band Slopeside crafts a unique sound in the Mile High music scene with an eclectic blend of singer songwriter rock, blues and pop. The band has been performing everywhere from intimate settings, festivals and large amphitheaters throughout the state and surrounding areas since 2005. Slopeside's music is great for any event targeting a wide variety of audiences and ages. Slopeside performs original music and songs from well known artists. With four full length original albums released, and a fifth in the works, the band mates of Slopeside surely keep a steady pace.
Meet the Band. Nederland native, singer songwriter and guitar player Arn Current, brings his powerful song writing to a band ready to capture his creative influences. The bands rhythm section is handled by steady handed drummer Norris Jones from Fort Collins CO and our newest addition Keith Everett on the bass guitar from Colorado Springs. The brilliant song writing, harmonies and beautiful vocal leads of Karen Current brings the music to life. Lead guitarist and keyboardist Cody Culver brings a tasteful rock blues influence to the band.
Their self titled debut album was released in Aug 2009; “Road to Oblivion” followed in Feb 2011; and “One Lane Town”, their third full length album was recorded at Coupe Studios in 2014. Slopeside released their newest album "Shoot The Moon" on June 9th 2018.
Described as “a band with a big heart”, Slopeside takes great pride in getting involved with as many charity benefits as they can. Slopeside has had huge success helping raise awareness and funds for charities in Colorado communities through their own music concert series called Fireside House Concerts.
