About Vendor

Learn more about this vendor for your event.

Plunk Murray offers a wide range of Irish & Celtic (and not-so-Celtic) music ranging from traditional songs along the lines of the Dubliners and the Irish Rovers to more modern material from the Pogues and Flogging Molly. In addition to a long list of Irish/Celtic tunes, Plunk Murray also cover a wide range of "not-so-Irish" tunes including country, 80's & 90's rock, oldies and yes even some reggae. Our goal is to ALWAYS deliver a fun filled performance every single time we play. Irish toasts, audience sing-alongs, and great music mean that when Plunk Murray is on stage, a good time will be had by all! At home in small acoustic settings and on large festival stages, Plunk Murray is a great fit in events ranging from weddings and private parties to corporate events and festivals. To help your event go smoothly and turn out great, we can provide our own sound equipment, work with you on event logistics as needed, work to accommodate special requests and speeches, and of course dress appropriately for your event (From Kilts to Tuxedos). Comprised of 5 incredibly talented multi-instrumentalists, Plunk Murray's lineup includes acoustic guitar, bass, mandolin, tenor banjo, accordion, Irish whistle, drums, traditional Irish percussion and fantastic vocals. Since the members of Plunk Murray all play several different instruments we can offer a range of line-ups to fit the needs of your event. Need an acoustic duo during cocktails and full band for dancing? No problem. Here's what we can offer: A Duo - Here we provide a guitarist/vocalist and a lead instrumentalist/vocalist, who would be playing (switching between) mandolin, banjo, accordion, whistle, etc. This option is a great fit for smaller or more intimate occasions and gives a great traditional Irish pub feel with lots of energy and fun. A Trio - Similar to the Duo, but we start to really show off our flexibility here and can put a 3-piece ensemble together with guitar and two lead instruments OR guitar, upright bass and one lead instrument OR guitar, lead instrument and traditional Irish percussion; and of course 3-part vocals. We can also switch between these configurations through the course of a performance as needed. A 4-piece: We can take the trio to the next level by adding another multi-instrumentalist to bring even more Irish fun to the stage. Guitar, bass, drums, accordion? No problem. Mandolin, guitar, accordion, percussion? Yep. The possibilities are endless, as is the Irish good times! The Full Band - This is what you'd see most commonly if you saw us at one of our many pub or festival performances. Guitar, bass, drums or percussion and two lead instruments PLUS fantastic vocals! This allows us to play any song in our catalog from old traditional tunes to current material. -Samples of all these configurations can be heard in our Audio section here- With decades of combined professional music experience, Plunk Murray is proud to garner a reputation as a professional group both on and off the stage. In addition to a top notch performance, complete professionalism can be expected before, during and after your event. We want to work with you to make your event a fantastic experience!

Private PartyReviewed on October 10, 2021From Celina, TX

Plunk Murray is an amazing band! They came to my parent’s home and performed for our family. My father is a huge fan of Irish/Celtic music and he was very impressed. Plunk Murray is exceptional because not only did they perform beautifully but they also engaged my entire family in the music, creating a very fun and memorable experience. I feel like the band members went above and beyond for us. They also knew all the songs my Dad requested. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. All of my expectations were exceeded.

Anniversary PartyReviewed on February 20, 2021From Mineral Wells, TX

An amazing band. Exceeded our high expectations. They accommodated every request and went with the flow of our family celebration. I would hire them in a minute and will recommend them as often as I can. Even our younger family members said they are awesome. I cannot over recommended them.
