Ford did a fantastic job of accommodating my needs for my retirement party. He made a special effort to not disturb the event in the next room, but yet was loud enough for everyone in my venue to listen and enjoy his music. As far as the music is concerned, his upbeat jazz music fit right in to the occasion. I received numerous compliments on finding him.
I play an eclectic blend of Brazilian classical, American and Latin jazz standards, rock and pop renditions - not covers - and original music - influenced by all of the above. My first classical influence was Julian Bream. Shortly after, I discovered Joe Pass, Herb Ellis and Wes Montgomery, which took me in the direction of solo finger-style jazz. After that John McLaughlin, Steve Hackett, John Scofield and Bill Frisell have influenced my playing. I don't try to copy these masters, only learn from their approach.
My music is most conducive to wedding cocktail hours, office receptions, wineries, restaurants, and home parties - anywhere nylon string or jazz guitar is appropriate. I have a weekly restaurant engagement since 2010 plus other recurring gigs. I'm accustom to staying under the conversation, but can entertain when appropriate. I have a good sense of humor. My set list can be tailored to your party with reasonable notice and you can visit my website for reviews and contact me for a set list of songs. Thanks for your interest and hope to hear from you. Any events outside of 100 miles will include travel compensation to be negotiated on individual basis.
