Aiko Shimada is a jazz vocalist and bandleader who performs in configurations from duo to sextet, depending on venue and event. She interprets timeless jazz standards, familiar covers, and original songs arranged in a jazz style. Her warm, ethereal voice is sensitively supported by talented, dynamic musicians. Her ensemble typically includes piano, upright bass, saxophone (or occasionally trombone/trumpet), and drums, delivering tasteful swing, lyrical solos, and elegant textures.
