Hi! My name is Alex Withmory, and I am a Grammy Nominated Drummer. I have several bands and I offer different packages. My starting rate includes a cocktail jazz trio. Enjoy your event with some classy jazz in the background. We can also perform different types of music styles and the price will differ depending on the event and the amount of musicians I will need. Here is my bio Alex Withmory is versatile drummer and percussionist based in Southern California, He can cover any style of music and any type of musical situation from a small Jazz club to big Pop Concerts. He grew up playing in Classical Orchestras in Lima, Peru; then transitioned to Jazz when he moved to Los Angeles. where he earned a Bachelors degree in Jazz performance from California State University Northridge. With more than 14 years of experience in the music business Alex has participated in countless of shows learning different styles of music and different musical lenguages. Being Gospel, Rock, Pop, Hip Hop, Jazz, Latin, Top 40’s and Reggae some of the genres Alex gets hired to play the most; He is also able to play some other niche styles such as Peruvian, Cuban, Brazilian, Colombian and Spanish rhythms. Some of his latest achievements are a Grammy Nomination and a Latin Grammy Nomination for the album Tradiciones by the Afro Peruvian Jazz Orchestra, and a tour with Kelechi ending with the San Francisco Pride Parade show with an attendance of more than 10,000 people. He has also played Drums for 2 different bands at Disneyland California Adventure besides private events, churches, weddings, big bands, countless of clubs, and recording sessions. His professionalism and work ethic has given him the chance to work also as a teacher. He is currently a private teacher at College of the Canyons located in Santa Clarita, and also runs percussion ensembles for Harmony Project, a Non Profit organization stablished in all the Los Angeles county.
