Common Ground, a suburban Washington DC (Fairfax, Va.) based group, offers a diversity of musical styles and genres. Although Smooth and Contemparary Jazz is their forte, their flexibility is unlimited,making for smooth musical transitions. Whether it be an old Jazz standard rearranged for the contemporary listener, or a recent urban style hit remade to give it a jazzy feel, Common Ground approaches these musical challenges with taste and imagination. Formed in 2001, Common Ground has been a mainstay in the DMV (DC. Md.,Va.), and have maintained a stellar reputation for excellence and reliability. While closely associated with the former “Smooth Jazz 105.9” radio station, Common Ground was selected as an opening act for national recording artist Brian Culbertson , and Chris Botti, along with countless local musical venues. With all the pieces in place, Common Ground will undoubtedly stand the “Taste of Time”, within the ever changing musical world...Enjoy!

Excellent, Excellent, Excellent. The professionalism, the music, the singing of Common Ground were nothing short of amazing. They so beautifully played a tune I have been wanting to dance with my wife to since before the pandemic, that I will never forget it. I look forward to booking them again in the near future.

On time, professional, and great musicians. CG more than satisfied as they exceeded all expectations. My wife and guests were totally awed at the performance. CG created memories that will be engrained in all the guest that attended. Will definitely have them back for any future events.
