ABOUT THE DJQ
While working for years as side-men in various groups, these four Denver-area musicians decided to form a working quartet in the late 90's which has transformed into one of the most sought after jazz ensembles in the Denver Metro area. The Denver Jazz Quartet performs all the jazz standards including Latin jazz, mainstream, swing, ballads and blues.

The group performs primarily as an instrumental jazz quartet. We can also break up the quartet and perform as a trio (piano, bass & sax), as a duo (piano & sax) or even as solo piano or solo saxophone (please see on a separate profile under solo performers). 

The Denver Jazz Quartet can also be augmented by adding another instrument or a vocalist. The DJQ has performed with some of the finest jazz singers both locally and nationally.

The DJQ has performed as far away as Queenstown, New Zealand where they were featured in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Queenstown Jazz Festival.

We made a great decision when we decided to book the Denver Jazz Quartet for our event! They are talented, professional, easy to work with, and the music is wonderful!

They did a nice job (as a trio, as they were flexible with us) and made our event even better.

These guys were marvelous. My guests 60+ all said how much they loved the music. Charlie is so warm and friendly and has now become a personal friend. The music is perfect for a relaxing but classy event.
