ECLIPSE performs classic jazz, jazz fusion and creative arrangements of well-known contemporary artists like Sting, Van Morrison, Bill Withers, Santana and others. Up-tempo, creative, and a joy to listen to. “Marc Elbaum is a rare talent, taking the sax and flute to places I didn’t know was possible. It’s no surprise to find Marc jamming with an extraordinary band of gypsies who are playing like old friends. Talent attracts talent. If you haven’t seen or heard Eclipse, you’re in for a treat.” - Ernest Thompson, Academy Award Winning Screenwriter Marc Elbaum (Sax, Flute, Conga, Vocals) began studying clarinet and saxophone in New York at age 12 and went on to study with Frank Foster, who was the musical director and lead tenor saxophonist of the Count Basie Orchestra. Marc was an instrumental performance major (saxophone, flute and clarinet) at Berklee College of Music and has been a full-time career musician ever since. He’s shared the stage with The J Giles Band, Ray Charles, Mississippi Fred McDowell, and Alex Taylor. He recorded on two albums by Grammy winner Bill Morrissey. Marc's original composition "Julie's Dance" was used in the CBS production of "On Golden Pond" and his song "When Love is Good" was featured in Academy Award winner Ernest Thompsons film, "Time and Charges". Marc was a member of MD2, The Wicked Smart Horn Band, and a longtime member of Joe Droukas and the Bombers. Gregg Krech (Keyboard, Vocals). Gregg grew up in Chicago where he was exposed to some extraordinary jazz and blues music in the 60’s and 70’s. His keyboard setup allows him to play elegant emulations of Hammond B3 organ, Fender Rhodes Electric piano and a Steinway Grand. He periodically mixes and matches instruments within the same song. He is currently the keyboard player for an Allman Brothers Tribute Band (Soulshine Revival) and has played in recent years with Men of Distinction and Blues Without Borders. His contemporary influences include Jeff Lorber, Gregg Rolie (Santana), and Kenny “Blues Boss” Wayne. Justin Brault (Bass Guitar) grew up in Vermont and has been performing as a musician since the fifth grade. Having honed his skills through experience and professional study, Justin’s dedication and talent highlight his commitment to the vibrant arts scene in Vermont. His enthusiasm and passion for storytelling through music and performance continues to inspire audiences and fellow performers alike. In addition to being a member of Eclipse, Justin collaborates with many distinguished artists and organizations throughout the region as a musician and sound engineer. John Wallace (Drums) sells rocks and metal for his day job and bangs on stuff at night. He plays drums for The Horse traders, Deb Brisson and The Hayburners, and The Almendros. For the past 3 years he has played drums in Soulshine Revival, New England’s premier Allman Brothers tribute band. He’s super excited to be branching out with the eclectically extraordinary musicians of Eclipse!
