Jazz Odyssey Jazz Band from San Francisco, CA

The Jazz Odyssey Ensemble consists of some of the most talented Musicians in the Bay Area with 20 years of experience playing together. The band can be tailored to fit events of any size and is happy to fulfill any live music needs/special requests/playlists with quality and professionalism while specializing in the musical styles of Swing, Cool Jazz, Bossa Nova, latin jazz, Soul Jazz, Bebop, Blues, Fusion, Funk and RnB. Pianist Matt Clark is a major fixture in the San Francisco jazz scene. He studied music at Oberlin Conservatory, then moved to the Bay Area becoming an in-demand rhythm section player. He has played with Bobby Hutcherson, Marcus Shelby, and Joshua Redman among others. Ollie is a professional musician native to the San Francisco Bay Area. A second generation jazz bass player, he has a BA in Jazz Studies from the California Jazz Conservatory, and has studied and played in New Orleans, New York, Cuba and Brazil. Ollie plays in a variety of local bay area bands, leads several of his own groups and has worked on several theatrical musical productions and recording projects, including his own album Flight of Life: Scenic Route Trio which features all original compositions. Bryan studied drums at The Berklee College of Music in Boston, CSU Long Beach, CSU Chico and the Ali Akbar College of Music. He is currently a free lance performer and composer in the San Francisco Bay Area and is the author of the the book the Syncopation Companion. In addition to Trio format Jazz Odyssey plays in larger band configurations which include quartet/quintet format including an exclusive network of some of the top brass and woodwinds players in the Bay Area which.
