It was a pleasure working with you and the Jazzona group for the Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee Executive Council Reception. Your music was a perfect addition to a wonderful night and a grand view from the 27th floor of Renaissance Square. Thanks for helping make the evening special." James B. Little - Super Bowl Host Committee member* Jazzona is a trio that performs jazz, standards and smooth jazz composed of Bill Applegate on guitar (masters degree in jazz guitar performance), Elise Hurst is our feature singer who also plays fiddle, Doug Mossing on saxophones, flute and keyboards. We can also perform as duos in any combination of the three members. In 2021 Elise Hurst won first place in the 'Ultimate Singing Competition' which was an online contest judged by Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton. In that audition she sang a western song but she also played the fiddle and yodeled. Blake told her 'That was the best audition I've ever heard'. JAZZONA DUOS: Bill and Doug: instrumental jazz duo that is ideally suited for background. Elise and Doug: performs show and movie tunes with variety. 'Put on a Happy Face', 'Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend', 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow', 'Pink Panther Theme' for example. Ideally suited for concert. Bill and Elise: variety music such as jazz standards, classic rock, pop, and country. Ideally suited for dance. Each one of the above musicians can provide a solo show. * Verification of Super Bowl event performance and review is available upon request.
