Kim Reynolds Quartet Jazz Band from Washington, DC

We are a jazz quartet consisting of piano [me Kim Reynolds], tenor sax, upright bass and drums. We generally play instrumentals with no vocals, unless the event calls for a singer. We play the classic jazz of the 1940's, 50's and 60's drawing our songs from Duke Ellington, Miles Davis, Charlie Parker, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Lee Morgan, Dave Brubec and the like, and of course, the great American songbook. Almost all of the songs we play have recognizable, toe-tapping melodies that you're likely to walk away from humming to yourself. If you put on an old Bluenote jazz record, that's pretty much what we sound like. We can play as quietly or loud as the event requires. That said, we can also play rock, blues and country, should you want some of that at your event too. We have music and video samples, and references, all available on request. If you don't want a full quartet, we can work as a trio or duo, no problem. We are discrete, and we are happy to wear black suits and ties, or nice casual, and all the way to jeans, whatever the event requires.
