The Mark V. Quintet Jazz Band from Boston, MA

Our Music... Our concept is the fusing of traditional jazz, into neo-soul and funk. Grooving up songs that normally wouldn't appeal to an audience. The transformation of what was done in the past, into the style of today. Paying homage to the greats of the past who led the way for musicians of today, while adding a taste of our own! The art of improvisation is alive and well within this groups music! Mark V. (trumpet) and Matthew Castilla (alto sax) both studied privately with some of the most ground shaking professors at the Berklee College of Music, are always improving, and are seemingly a force to be reckoned with! Tyler Scott (drums), Nelson Leong (bass), Adan Hagley (keys), and Liam Pierce (guitar) play so well together, every song is guaranteed to have an infectious groove to spread through the biggest of rooms. Their ability to change the style or feel of a tune MULTIPLE times within a single song is guaranteed to force our audiences attention to remain on the music being played.
