THE RHYTHMASTERS Richmond, Virginia Jazz Ensemble Formed in 2005, The Rhythmasters are a Richmond, Virginia-based jazz ensemble specializing in timeless classics spanning the early 1900s through the jazz, swing, soul, and standards of the 1960s, ’70s, and ’80s. Our extensive repertoire includes music made famous by legendary artists such as Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone, Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, Sonny Rollins, and Dave Brubeck, among many others. The Rhythmasters offer flexible ensemble configurations to suit any event, performing as a solo act, duo, trio, quartet, or full 7-piece band. We also offer both instrumental performances and vocalist-led shows featuring an exceptional roster of professional singers, several of whom perform in multiple languages. Since 2014, The Rhythmasters have held a residency at The Savory Grain and continue to perform regularly at restaurants, clubs, festivals, art openings, rehearsal dinners, corporate functions, and private events throughout the region. Our instrumentation may include piano/keyboards, upright bass, saxophone, clarinet, drums/percussion, and vocals. Every member of the ensemble is a seasoned professional musician with years of live performance experience, bringing versatility, sophistication, and energy to every performance.
