Thunder Hill Jazz Band brings the best of jazz standards with a fresh view for today's audiences. The seasoned musicians have a wealth of experience and will captivate you with both vocal and instrumental performances. Whether for special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries or weddings, for corporate events, or for not-for profit fund raisers, we can provide entertainment which will make your event special. From a trio to the full 7-member band, we can provide background music for your diners or a bigger sound for dancers or partiers. Most of our musicians hold degrees in music, including one with a Masters in Jazz Guitar. Our members have played throughout the US and internationally, and with some of the big names in the music industry, including Bob Hope, Wayne Newton, Andy Williams, Frank Sinatra Jr, Mel Torme, Merv Griffen, Jon Faddis, Steve Smith, the Four Freshmen, Tony Williams, Tommy Dorsey, Lew Soloff, Donald Byrd, Clark Terry, Nathan Davis, Joe Negri, John Tesh, Rebecca St James, DC Talk, and Cabo Frio. "Last night I went with a friend to hear Thunder Hill Jazz Band, at La Cour Bistro Art Bar in Denver in a small two story building. What a wonderful evening with fabulous music! The venue is an intimate place with maybe 30 seats that serves a great variety of wines, cocktails, appetizers, salads, soups, a few main courses, and decadent desserts! The band, which included a guitarist, saxaphone player,(and in one piece he played the flute), bass player,(whose bass appeared as old as the player,) a drummer, and a female vocalist, and there was also a pianist. All the people were transfixed by how wonderful the music was!!!
