About Vendor

Learn more about this vendor for your event.

The Mike Wolk Jazz Group is a collaboration of some of the most professional and talented musicians in the Carolinas. MWJG is led by Mike Wolk, a pianist/vocalist with 12 years of study in jazz and classical music. We are a real jazz group who specialize in that genre and also perform "old school" rhythm and blues, funk, and other material. We often work as a quartet (piano, horn, acoustic bass and drums), but have an excellent "little big band" as well as Lyndsey Goodman, our vocalist. Mike can also appear as a solo performer. We have performed for the Charleston Piccolo Spoleto Festival, separately and with Lady Chablis, The Coastal Jazz Society, The Sumter and David City Opera Houses, The North Charleston Arts Festival (2007-2009), The Cypress Gardens "Breath of Spring Festival" and other prominent festivals in the Southeast. We have also played for weddings, clubs, restaurants, gallery shows, fraternity reunions and just about any event imaginable.

Wedding ReceptionReviewed on March 17, 2010From Savannah, GA

The Mike Wolk Jazz group did a wonderful job at our wedding reception! I gave them a general idea of the type of music I liked and let them surprise us. They played a variety of music that really catered to our tastes, and our crowd loved them. They learned our alma mater's fight song with very short notice, and they did a great job! They also surprised us with a New Orleans treat since our wedding was a few days before Mardi Gras. They were prompt, professional, dependable, lively, and tasteful and they put smiles on the faces of even our most conservative guests! Thanks so much to the Mike Wolk Jazz Band!! We highly recommend them.

WeddingReviewed on June 9, 2009From Mount Pleasant, SC

This band made my wedding reception a wonderful event! It wouldn't have been the same without them. I highly recommend using them for any event and I will definitely use them if I ever have a need for a band in the future! They were just SO much fun and very talented - I couldn't have asked for more!

Mike and the band were fabulous! They kept the crowd at our wedding dancing despite the cold. I would recommend them for any event--they're incredibly versatile and accomodating.
