Hello! Jackie West here, bandleader and main vocalist of the Young At Heart Jazz Band. I have been singing jazz in New York City for over 10 years and have a regular place where I sing 4 nights a week— feel free to get in touch and visit us in person! Who we are: “Young at Heart Jazz Band” is a group of highly trained musicians who have extensive experience performing in clubs, speakeasies, cocktail parties, weddings, and private events all over the country. We play Jazz Standards, classic tunes brought to popularity by Billie Holiday, Doris Day, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald and the list goes on! We bring an element of flair and elevate the mood of any event whether you’re thinking “Cool Jazz” for an elegant Cocktail Party, Company Holiday Party, “Hot Jazz” for an opulent, Gatsby-esque night, or a Wedding Ceremony Serenade, we have done it ALL and we tailor our setlist to your preferences. There are a few ways to book our band. We can play in as small as “duo” and as large as “septet” for example: Duo = voice + guitar/ piano Trio = voice + guitar/ piano + bass Quartet = voice + guitar/piano + bass + horn Quintet = voice + g/p + bass + horn + drums Sextet = voice + g/p + bass + horn + drums + horn Septet = voice + guitar AND piano + horn + drums + horn ** It all depends on what instrumentation you’re imagining and for what kind of party.
