Dizzy Miss Lizzie delivers vocals in a style evoking the feel of a dark smoky jazz joint. Bio: Diane Anderson aka Dizzy Miss Lizzie is a vocalist with an eclectic repertoire. Smoking quiet jazz, passionate blues ...it's all about the feel. Her musical journey started in grade school with the violin. Diane taught herself piano and guitar then started teaching others at a local music studio. Diane hosted an open stage for several years and performed in acoustic venues in the Laurel Highlands. Her passion is having fun with the audience and taking them on a journey of free expression. A long time desire to perform jazz and blues was realized after meeting her husband DK Anderson. Diane performed as vocalist on two albums by DK Anderson: 8th Window and Quantum Truth. Jazz Da Gama Review "Meanwhile the pursuit of “possibilities” is the stated intention and meaning of the title and there are few songs more revealing than Dave Frishberg's “I'm Hip”, which may be remembered because of two iconic versions: Blossom Dearie's and another by Bob Dorough. Diane Anderson's version is to be placed at least on an equal footing as both those, if not a peg above either one. The reason? Miss Anderson brings to the song a kind of sensuality that no one (Frishberg included) could have imagined possible. She appears not only to have found something special in the song, but has also let that something speak to her in a manner that is uncommonly delicate. Moreover, few vocalists seem to have mastered their instrument and taken possession of it as Miss Anderson has, with echoes of the great Nancy King, one might add."
