savage:carlson Jazz Duo from Seattle, WA

Ken Carlson attended Cornish College of the Arts, and has been teaching and performing music in Seattle for 25 years. When he met Trish Savage, a singer-songwriter and graduate of Indiana University, the musical chemistry was immediate and apparent. They have a unique sound that combines Ken's flamenco guitar pieces with Trish's vocals and percussion, occasionally both playing guitar and singing harmonies. They play a number of swing and bossa nova jazz standards, throwing in reggae, classic rock, soul, blues, and original tunes if the evening calls for it. They are happy to show up as a duo, or can arrive as a trio, quartet, or 8 piece band depending on the needs of the client. (Instrumentation not limited to tasteful horns, upright bass, drums, congas...) Savage Carlson performs regularly as a duo in the downtown Seattle hotel scene, as well as at wineries, weddings, corporate events, private parties, and occasional local neighborhood haunts.
