The jazz trio was very talented, and were enjoyed by the guests. They appeared on time and looked fantastic.
However, we had two concerns: 1) a different set of instruments were provided than those specified in our contact with them, and 2) the song chosen for our recessional (*chosen from options provided by the group*) and clearly stated in our contact with the band leader and listed in our program, was not played. I am not sure why this happened, but the group played a different song for the recessional.
New Orleans Classical & Jazz’s Response:
I'm sorry that you weren't completely satisfied with your trio. Originally you requested banjo; however, the Canon in D sounds much better with guitar for your entrance, which is why that's what he was playing when you walked out. The sax and upright bass performed as you requested. Regarding your recessional, I provided a recording of the song performed by a large brass band. The trio's rendition may have sounded differently. I'm sorry our performance and overall service didn't surpass your expectations, and I appreciate your candor and feedback. We're always trying to improve and your opinion is very important to us. Congratulations and take care,
