Baltimore Swing Drop Jazz Ensemble from Columbia, MD

Baltimore Swing Drop is a jazz ensemble dedicated to acoustic jazz and Gypsy swing. We draw culturally from Prohibition era USA, pre- and between war Paris, and uniquely from the Gypsy tradition of Eastern Europe. We do not accept requests outside of the genre. The core of our ensemble is in rhythm guitar, vocals, bass, and solo guitar. We can add a violin, clarinet and drums, depending on the event and budget. We perform one to three sets of songs suitable for swing dancing, or just a background music for a dinner, cocktail party, or conversation. Baltimore Swing Drop is very well known on the Baltimore/Washington swing scene, with monthly engagements at the WC Harlan in Baltimore and the Chevy Case Ballroom in Washington DC.
