Daniel began playing music as a 6-year old after having asked his father, a high school music teacher, to bring him home a trumpet. After a year of producing the most excruciating sounds and exhausting his neighbors, he decided to actually learn how to navigate his way around the instrument. While at LaGuardia High School in New York City, he started to toy around with the piano during his lunch period. From there, he studied jazz piano and composition with John Esposito at Bard College. He continues to play the trumpet, but has found his true love in the piano. He plays regularly at the Montauk Club in Brooklyn, NY and the Yale Club of New York.
