Big Faith formed in August 2004, and has since performed many events and venues in the Philadelphia area, including the Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts. Rooted in jazz and classical music, this duo is strongly influenced by many other styles, such as Brazilian, Celtic, Tango, Bulgarian, Rock/Pop, and Appalachian. Their sound has been described as earthy, sophisticated, romantic, contemporary, and distinctive. Violinist Monique Cannière hails from rural Gaines, Pennsylvania; providing expertise in classical and folk genres. With an extensive background in vocal training, she often sings on gigs as well. Guitarist Joe DaCrema has played in and around Philadelphia in jazz settings for years. His sound is an eclectic mix of classical and Brazilian music combined with jazz and his own unique harmonic/rhythmic concept. Big Faith can easily add a bassist and/or a drummer upon request. Big Faith has provided dinner/background music for ceremonies and awards banquets, country clubs, assisted living homes, weddings, and corporate events. They are sure to create a warm, relaxed, and romantic atmosphere for your next occasion.

We were a little surprised that one member of the "Duo" did not make it. She had a replacement but they acted like it was no big deal, even though we had requested some special songs. The Big Faith Duo was wonderful and we truly enjoyed their talent. Joe even took time out to perform CPR on one of our guests. Thanks so much, John-Paul and Anna Bradley

Thank you first of all for your site!It was a definite plus in helping me find THE BEST entertainment, Big Faith Duo. Monique & Joe were not only pleasant they were prompt, and a great plus for my son's wedding rehearsal dinner, you know having them there gave the entire event a touch of class.
