BOW HAMMER SKINS. We are a jazz quartet consisting of a viola, keyboards, bass and percussions. We compose and perform original jazz music with a Caribbean flavor. Our violist, Karese Young, is classically trained and performs jazz in her own distinctive style_ very melodic and soulful. Herb Ruffin, our keyboardist, is also our composer, arranger and vocalist. He draws on a background of gospel, jazz and reggae. Bassist Ryan Sample, roots and versatility. Mark McGee drummer with serious groove magic.
