Some like it Hot We play Gypsy Jazz, the contemporary name for a musical form that started in the 1930s when American swing moved to Europe. The gypsy guitarist, Django Reinhardt, and the violinist Stephane Grappelli, began playing American style swing together, Borrowing from the guitar-violin work of Joe Venuit and Eddie Lang, doing standards from the era, but soon they invented a whole new hot style that swung really hard and was totally inventive, infectious, driving, and moving. This became known as the Hot Club sound. We play many of the tunes from the golden age of song writing. The time of Cole Porter, George Gershwin, etc. Along with tunes that have become standards of the Gypsy Jazz Hot clubs all over the world. My video is one of the more popular Latin style tunes that have become very popular. Us me know your budget and I can adjust the number of musicians. Of course the dialog among the musicians and the range of tonal qualities will be affected with a smaller group.
