Machaya played at my daughter's wedding, and the music was great. In addition to their own repertoire, they agreed to learn some new pieces (not "typical" Klezmer) that we wanted for the ceremony. And, as promised, they performed a rousing hora, which got the crowd off to high party mode!
Having had much experience with weddings, Barbara Hess provided incredible support. She had many helpful suggestions concerning the wedding logistics and really helped things run smoothly.
So, here's to Machaya! Party on!

Machaya provided a wonderful evening of Klezmer/Yiddish music for our birthday "boy". The 3 bandmates were extremely talented, seemed to be having a good time, and performed as if they were in a hall for 2,000, not just a couple dozen entertained party-goers. The musicians arrived early and stayed late and made eveyone feel welcome. A special shout-out to Vlad who is a supremely talented violinist who has retained a humbleness with a sense of humor. Machaya really made the party a super event.
