Betsy and the Boneshakers have been performing for over 20 years in the Chicagoland area. We were on the McCormick Place/Navy Pier Authority booking roster for many years , appearing regularly at Navy Pier, city festivals, United Center, Park West, and the top local bars, restaurants, and clubs. The band received glowing praise from the Chicago Sun Times and Tribune in feature articles, as well as in local papers. The Boneshakers were Tuesday night house band for promoter Sue Miller for 15 years, first at the renowned Cubby Bear Lounge in Chicago, and then at her national showcase club on Lincoln Avenue "The Lounge Axe" until zoning closed it. There the band performed with many top national acts, including R+B great Delbert McClinton, who called the Boneshakers "The best bar band in Chicago!" Check us out for your self. While primarily an R+B band, we branch out into harder rock, and also some country and folk tinged covers and originals to take advantage of Betsy Redhed's incredible range of influences and vocal experience. We are available in our original five piece configuration with amazing second lead vocalist/sax Rich Perenti, or as a quartet. The rhythm section of the Boneshakers also comprises Surf Command, a surf trio showcasing the 60's instrumental guitar music of Dick Dale, The Ventures, Link Wray etc. If right for your event, arrangements can be made to have both acts appear, together or separately. We hope to have photos posted soon. In the meantime, check out the audio clips from our CD.
