Mobius Trip was a fantastic addition to our event this year, we highly recommend them!
At its core, Mobius consists of:
Matt Roos, guitars: Matt has been around the Boise music scene for years, is currently the associate director of music for Cathedral of the Rockies, and unknown to many, penned the award winning Idaho Centennial song, Celebrate Idaho. Matt's that guy in the band who has to drive others to do better. Interestingly, everybody in the band likes Matt! go figure....
Joe Young, sax and flutes: Graduate of Boise's Centennial High, was drum major for 2 years, before graduating from Art Institute of Seattle, majoring in music and video business. Joe's a new age guy with a love of rockin' jazz standards and a touch of Celtic.
Ed Seaman, guitars: Ed played rock & roll in Boise in the 60s and continues to play to this day, much to the chagrin of his wife! His longing for the 60s raises its head occasionally in his playing, where Smooth Jazz meets Rock for a tasteful, fun, although slightly distorted combination.
Mark Fisher, bass: Mark has been playing for a number of years with the HPs Boise Straight Ahead Jazz Band and now brings his talents to Mobius. His penchant for precision makes him the ideal guy for arrangements and tightness. Who else would find a way to make C2 over A flat work?
Tommy Fisher, drums/percussion: Tommy (or "Tom Tom", as he is affectionately known) enjoys all styles of music and percussion. He is a groove meister who fits into the Mobius groove like 2 buck Chuck at Trader Joes. Tight and tastey!
Steve (Stevie Keys) Allison: Steve hails from Colorado Springs where he'd been playing the blues for the past 20 years. Looking for a little joy in his life, he began playing pop jazz with Mobius and has become a key contributor in a very short time. We're thrilled to have him on board.
